Broxburn Cross Country

Well done to all that ran at Broxburn on Saturday in the last of the East District XC series for this season. It was a cold crisp day and conditions were tricky underfoot due to the icy ground. The famous puddle however was nowhere to be seen 😳 so it was a bit of a drier run than usual. There were some super performances.
At u11s Calum Gibson had a strong run over the 1.4 km course finishing 10th (5.42). For the girls Darcy Brown and Willow Scott fought each other to the line eventually finishing 25th and 26th and given the same time of 6.30.
For the u13s Scott Vigrow ran well to finish the 2.7km course in 15th (10.55) and for the girls Cameryn Barclay was highest placed Hawk in 25th (12.25).
At u15 level Ryan Donald put in an outstanding performance with a super 4th over the 4.1km course in a time of 14.45. Blair Scott also had a good run finishing 14th in 15.46. The u15 boys team also placed well enough to end up 3rd team on the day. In the u15/17 women’s race Anna Bennett was top Hawk finishing 20th in 17.18.
Calum McCormack had a strong run for the u17 men finishing 9th in a time of 20.03 (5.4km) with Bradley Duff in 14th.
The junior/senior women ran the same course as the u17 men. Diane Placentino was first home in 29th overall (4th vet) in a time of 24.12 and Eilidh Reynolds finished 44th overall (6th junior) in 25.38.
The junior/senior men ran an 8.1km course. James Donald put in another good performance finishing 10th overall (3rd junior) in a time of 28.02 and for the veterans Billy Gibson was 53rd overall (4th vet) in a time of 31.00.
Hope you all enjoyed the day. Well done.🏃👍👏
