From Loch Ness to Berlin

…..and everything in between. The Hawks were everywhere this weekend.

Up in Inverness Roger Van Gompel was running the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon. He finished well up the field in 15th (6th v40) clocking a time of 2:45:12. Brilliant running. Running the 10km at the same event was junior James Donald who came away with a PB of 35:16. James finished 19th overall and was 1st u17 to complete the course. Well done James.

It was a bit of a trip this weekend for junior coach Bruce Scott who travelled to the Berlin marathon. The trip was well worth it as Bruce came away with a PB of 2:49:59 finishing 460th overall out of well over 30,000 starters. It seems September is the month for PBs!

A few Hawks also travelled to the Borders yesterday for the 2 Breweries Hill Race. This is an 18 mile course with a climb of 1500m. 1st Hawk to complete was Craig Love in 60th (3:40:00) with Steve Matthews not far behind in 63rd (3:42:06). Dave Mitchell finished 91st in a time of 3:57:22 with Paul Leonard at 118th (4:13:49). Well done to you all I read the webpage and it sounded like torture!!
