Camperdown Needs You....

Sunday, 25th March - Camperdown Park, Dundee; Jenny Wood Allan Races & Sport Relief Mile
The organising committee are looking for volunteers to help on the day with stewarding, marshalling, goody bags etc and have asked Dundee Hawkhill Harriers for help.  Can you help? Depending on what you end up doing, you'd be required from about 9am until early afternoon. Any volunteers under the age of 16 would require to be with a responsible adult on the day. Obviously, some tasks will be suited to youngsters but not others. If you can volunteer to help out on Sunday 25th March, please get in touch with me as soon as possible, thanks.
Phil Forte (Secretary)

6 minute wonders

For anyone with 10 minutes of spare time, you can re-live the joys of the Carnethy 5 earlier this month. I spotted at least 3 Hawks and one of them looked like he was  walking...imagine that !

The Ben

Six hawks have been included in the provisional start list for this years Ben Nevis Hill Race. They'll be doing well compete with the host club, Lochaber, who have more than 80 members entered.  There can't be many in that club not participating. See you in September.

More podium places

Indoor Athletics - DC has reported that there was another medal for a Hawks athlete. Susan Young won her heat of the Women's 400m in 59.18 only just outside her personal best set 2 weeks ago, and was 3rd in the final to take the bronze medal in a new pb of 58.57. Good Job...(& apologies for omitting another good result from the Kelvin Hall event).
