A total of 9 teams made their way to Cumbernauld for the National Cross Country Relays and again put in some good performances. The junior Hawks negotiated one lap each of a 2.5km course while the seniors covered 4km for their laps.
Highest place team for the Hawks was the young males A team (Blair Scott u13, Davey Begg u15 and James Donald u17) who were 25th out of 89 teams. James put in an excellent run to finish the day with the 4th quickest u17 lap time. Andrew Merry also had a good run for the B team with the 14th quickest u17 lap time.
Highest placed team for the girls was their A team (Iona Esslemont u13, Anna Bennett u15 and Amy Mollison u17). The girls finished 60th out of 75 teams with Anna putting in a really good leg to finish 24th quickest u15.
The senior males team of Gordon Barrie, George Foster, Gary Bruce and Charles Haskett finished 44th from 83 teams with Gordan 2nd quickest v40 lap and the senior females (Katie Anderson, Portia Brown and Kirsty Reynolds)also ran well to finish 25th from 52 teams.
