So it was the final fixture of the Cross Country season on Sunday at Callander Park, Falkirk and the heavens opened to create a bit of a mudfest!
All of our runners seemed to enjoy the tricky conditions and there were some stand out performances on the day.
For the seniors Gordan Barrie finished 10th v40 covering the 12km course in 44:58 and Alan Lawson was 1st v65 (57:35). In the u17 men’s race James Donald put in a strong performance to finish 17th in 22:55. Our u13 boys (Blair Scott 26th, Aidan Simpson 30th, Jack Dalgety 31st and Ryan Donald 37th) also had good runs resulting in a fantastic 5th team placing finishing ahead of the likes of Fife, Pitreavie, Central and Edinburgh.
Well done to all of our runners who ran on Sunday and those who have taken part at some of the other Cross Country events over the winter season. It had been brilliant to see so many of you turning up to run for your club and let’s hope you all enjoyed it so much you will be looking forward to next season!
