Six Hawks were in a record 523 finishers scampering about the Pentlands on Saturday. Conditions were good - cool, overcast but dry with relatively little wind. The ground was frozen just underneath the surface but there were only a few slips. Ryan Stewart led the Hawks home in 1.00/46th followed by Craig Love [1.03/74th], Mike Galloway [1.07/124th], Dave Mitchell [135th/1.08], Phil Forte [1.15/262nd] & Charlie Love [1.27/405th]. Ryan, Craig, Mike & Dave were 12th team. Ex-Hawks spotted included Jonathan Whitehead now Carnethy [1.15] & Stewart Barrie now HBT [1.16].
