Well it certainly rained on our Parkrunners on Saturday morning…the length and breadth of the country. They were splashing through puddles and mud on a very wet run. This week we had runners at Dundee, Strathclyde, Tollcross and Perth.
The rain didn’t stop 12 Hawks from turning up at Dundee for the weekly 5km. Second home overall was Craig Love (18:59) followed in 3rd by Neil Gunstone in a time of 20:10. Aidan Simpson was the first junior in 16th clocking a time of 23:55 with his brother Jamie not far behind in 20th (24:23).
It was not a day for PBs with the horrible conditions but our 1st junior female home in 29th place managed one anyway. Well done Izzy Remers on your new PB of 25:27.
In Strathclyde James Donald ran in terrible conditions but managed to finish first with a great time of 16.55. Just up the road in Glasgow Matthew and Graham Tonner were also sampling a west coast Parkrun. Matthew finished in 2nd (18:09) with Graham in 5th in a time of 21:33.
Blair Scott travelled just up the road to Perth for this weeks Parkrun where it was pouring! Unavoidable ankle deep puddles were all over the place…….but on the plus side….good practice for cross country season. Blair finished the 5km in 13th position clocking a time of 20:25.
Well done to all those who ran. Full results can be found on the Parkrun webpage.
