Scottish National Age Group Championships

It was a hugely successful age groups championship this year for the Hawks with a total of 8 medals brought back to Dundee. The weekend finished with 3 Hawks emerging as National Champions, 2 silver medalists and 3 bronze medalists!!

At under 20 level Katie Patullo was competing in her first year of the age group and she managed to bag herself 2 medals winning gold in the 100m hurdles and silver in the 400m hurdles.

The under 17s managed 4 medals, two of them being gold. Maria Akunna won gold in the 300 meters and James Donald gold in the 1500 meters steeplechase. Declan Gall got a silver in the 400 meters hurdles and Andrea Goodman bronze in the 200m.

Our under 13s also got in on the action. Aidan Simpson got a massive PB in the long jump (4.40) getting him the bronze medal. Blair Scott got bronze in the 75m hurdles running 12.84 for a PB and in the process broke the club record for the event that has stood since 2002.

What a great weekend it has been. Well done to all of the athletes who competed, made finals and achieved personal bests.
