The 11 Hawks athletes that travelled to Preston with the Kingdom Team achieved 13 pb’s and had 5 A string first places. These were an U17 1500m / 1500m steeplechase double by James Donald running 4:13.4 / 4:42.4 respectively, a win in the U17 400H for Declan Gall just missing his pb with 57.5 and an U20 400H win for Katie Patullo in a pb of 64.8.
Pride of place however must go to Katie Patullo in finishing second in the U20 Women 100H in a new club under 20 record of 14.7 (the same time as the winner). This improves on the previous record of 15.0 set by Lorna Silver in 1993.
In addition to the above there were personal bests for Maria Akunna (100/200/300), Anna Ferguson (100/200), Shaney McCabe (300), Phoebe Moncur (1500 steeplechase), Shania King (1500 / 3000m), Cameron Burns (200 / Triple Jump).
For the third successive match Kingdom finished in 4th place ahead of Sale Harriers and Preston and with one match left in Glasgow now have a great chance of keeping their place in the top division.
